I'm an N3 veteran that has just rediscovered GPL/WinVROC since
the new 3D3 patch.
My problem is that I can't get my steering centered. When I tried
using direct -vs- generic my controller didn't respond. I have even tried
to leave my wheel uncentered when calibrating. Still uncentered in the sim.
Not terribly, it's just annoying.

Ah yes, thats my problem, too but I found a way of fixing it.
Leave it on direct and go and calibrate the wheel. First do the pedals they
should be ok.
Now turn the wheel left and right gently, don't hammer it in either
direction. Now, look at the number on the top of the screen it.ll be +/- a
number. Get it to 0 by turning the wheel.
If it is at 0 and your wheel is slightly left, turn the wheel right until
the number changes on the right. You may have to force it to that side a
little. Then retest.
Do the same if it is to the left.
Keep doing this, it might take a while but you'll eventually get the number
at 0 while your wheel is perfecting straight. Then it's fine.
You wouldn't be using an LWFF would you?
