hi all,
I did a clean install of SCGT and then patched it with the official
patch. My problem is that I run the game but when I hit play it loads
for a couple seconds and then comes back to the desktop. Any help is
appreciated.

I ran it on a Geforce2 ok. Just select D3D when it starts up. Have a
SBive! too and no problems. Latest version of Directx? Maybe an Athlon
problem? Try changing desktop to 640x480 16bit before running or maybe
even 256 colours. Those are soem of the things I would look at maybe.
