Use Ctrl+F and Ctrl+H to adjust the draw distance I believe and I also think it's adjustable in the graphics menu. I have mine set at 31 (max) on my lowly PII 333 w/ TNT2 Ultra card and I can see FAR and get a nice framerate still. :) God bless, Loren >I think it is total bullshit. Agreed. There is an amazing sense of "urgency" in CPR when driving the road courses, moreso than with ICR2. I actually like the sounds, and the "feel" of the driving model is nicer than Sierra's old ICR2 game. However, the game falls down on ovals (for me) as you said, and forget about racing the AI. For its age, the graphics are allright, although the recent tweaks to car models someone made for the 2000 season in ICR2 show that it is really possible to teach an old dog new tricks. What would I like to see in a new CART sim? GPL with wings and the N4 graphics engine. What would I be happy to settle for in a CART sim? The 2000 carset for ICR2 plus a driving model from MGI, the relatively speedy and attractive graphics engine from Nascar Heat, the atmospheric track backdrops from GP3, and hell, some weather effects from GP3 as well and AI cars that race you clean and hard (GP3?) Fired CPR up again and it was a real joy to hotlap again at Road America (Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin). I got the urge because the CART series is racing there this weekend. Again, this is the patched version of CPR. Too bad the AI still sucks. If any of you still have CPR on your HD, try running a few laps at Road America again and tell me what you think. :) God bless, Loren

yes, please :) > What would I be happy to settle for in a CART sim? In shot, a CART sim from MGI wouldn't be too bad. Ed Martin, are you listening ? :) -- Olav K. Malmin remove spam when replying

I bought the game last year after attending the Road America race. CPR is just terrible. No matter what graphic options you choose, you still get the background and track objects magically appearing about 500 feet infront of you. Plus the FF in the game is just horrible. -- [email hidden]

I have to say after preparing for the CART race with CPR, TRI had that track modelled pretty damn accurately! The course layout and elevation changes are pretty much right on. How did they do on modelling Road America? -- <remove 7of9 for e-mail replies> -- Bill Jones e-mail addresses: Computer Sciences Corp. Everytime I drive CPR, I experience so much understeer, I can hardly get those cars around a corner. In ICRII I also have understeer, but much less. What's the cause? Is the physics model in CPR bad, are the standard setups bad or are Champ cars much understeered compared to F1? grtngs, hgrm "UnserFan1" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Fired CPR up again and it was a real joy to hotlap again at Road America > (Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin). From what I remembered, the control setup part of the game was a disaster. Namely there was very little you could do. Also before the patch the car did not understeer all that much. After the much waited for patch, the first thing everyone noticed was that the carts were on ice. It was horrible. Before the patch you could lap the whole field in a race at michigan within 4-5 laps. Rather than increase the speed of the AI cars the chose to make the players cars very slippery. Not my idea of a solution. -- [email hidden]

Man, and someone didn't "leak" it out into the sim community?! Stephen
