Calls for a new CART sim

Olav Malmin and others urged Hasbro and Monster Games to make a CART sim after NASCAR Heat, and a petition at Sierra was linked. Posters noted Midway reportedly held CART game rights and complained about Eurosport dropping live CART coverage in Europe. Jan Verschueren poked fun at Olav's spelling of 'threat' for 'thread'.

After all the smoke has cleared from all the salutes of the NASCAR Heat demo, (I'll buy it when I'm going to visit the CART Fontana race in October) how about a CART sim from Hasbro/MGI ? The satelite image of the tracks can probably also be bought by the russians, and many Champcar drivers are very enthusiastic about sims (Montoya, Tracy,...) :) -- Olav K. I'm all for it, NASCAR Heat looks fab, Next time though, actually taking advantage of the fact that 3D cards have been invented might help. Sorry, I'm in the sarcastic form of mind right now.

When I heard about a new MGI sim, I hoped it was going to be CART. Of course I was too polite to say so to Dave Broske, but I was crushingly disapointed to find out that is was to be yet another Nascar sim. So yeah, I'm praying for an MGI entry into the CART field ... Sky Olav K. Malmin <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Ok I *REALLY* don't understand that line.. "Next time though, actually taking advantage of the fact that 3D cards have been invented might help." Could you help explain that? ... No... we're cool and mature about it. <bursts into tears> ;-) Seriously, I've sent them (see Eurosport.com for E-mail) several E-mails expressing my disgust at the treatment race fans are receiving. Basically, any series must subside to whatever else is on. F3000, GP motorcycling, Superbikes, FIA GT... the lot. Dropping live coverage of the major US series from the pan-European feed was the last straw for me. And what do they show live instead... Ski Jumping Summer Tour?? -WHAT?? Jan. =--- Olav K. BK, a.k.a. Bruce Kennewell is the witty spelling and grammar police of RAS. Since he doesn't seem to be around I attempted to fill his shoes. "Put CART back on European Eurosport or I'll shove your teeth down your throat" is a threat, a collection of newsgroup posts under the same subject heading is a thread. Note the slightly different spelling. Does that explain it? Jan. =--- Olav K. Malmin wrote ...

You can bet a thread that is starting to get this long in one day will catch the attention of the 'readers' for certain companies.... YES! we NEED a new CART sim...and one of quality such as the latest efforts from MGI or Papyrus.(yes I know N4 isn't out yet) -- dave henrie Free the ICR2 source code! They have the rights, if it is exclusive, CART is doing a very critical mistake here. I really hope I bump into Bobby Rahal in one of the two CART races I'm going to attend in October. I really want to tell him a thing or two, most important my utter disgust about the treatment of the european fans with no live coverage, and the need for a CART sim :) -- Olav K. Earth calling ! :) CART and Eurosport mutually messed up so the only CART most europeans (minus those with British Eurosport, various digital feeds in France and Netherlands and live national coverage in Spain) get is a 50 minutes recap on wednesdays on various times in the evening, often not according to schedule. If something more important happens at that time, and on Eurosport everything is more important than CART, then they send it on thursdays or fridays on various times, often not according to schedule. LOL Of course I do now. I didn't even see that I misspelt (<- this word too probably) even you quoted me. Talk about beeing blind, and I'm supposed to drive home in an hour :)

No, I'm not dumb, I just can't afford to shell out another 200 for a 3D card when my own is perfectly capable of doing the job. This is outrageous IMO. My card is fully capable of running NH at the highest standard but if i want to get the full benefit I'll be forced to buy a brand new one. Theres no need. This is utterly ridiculous! Now, Excuse me for being so dumb mate, we can't all afford to go out and upgrade this and buy a new one of that every five minute.

Yep, personalities often not yet shaped by the commercial mold. I like the fact that the Teamates have the same > paint sceme, Please make a damn sim for us please. You must REALLY love F1 then :) I find diffentent liveries great beacuse I can immediately see who it is. It's so tiring to look hard at the drivers helmet to figure out who it is. And the KOOL guys are completely impossible on wide angle shots. -- Olav K. Malmin remove spam when replying

No it's easy to tell which Kool driver is which....The one with the pointy end aimed at another car is Tracey! :) -- dave henrie Free the ICR2 source code!
