Well after installing DX 7.0a, the drivers from the NVIDA web site, still it
wont go past the loading screen. Anyone? Also I am thinking I DL the wrong
NVIDA drivers. The date in the driver details section in control panel says
1/3/2000 . is this the right ones?
Mike
The date should say 08/11 or something close to that.

Before you buy.
I'm having the same problem.....only with a V-5 card. Check the "heat.log"
in C:\Windows\Temp! Mine says something about.......shortly after the words
"fail"......"can't find hood.tex" file, return Null"
Seems a texture file is missing?
I have written Hasbro tech (via the pop-email program Heat has....when it
crashes).....no reply yet (its been two days). That is not a "knock" on
Hasbro.....I'm sure they have their fare-share of "issues" to deal with.
But this seems like a silly problem to have in a pre-release demo.....a
texture file missing. Perhaps its a "code" for something else?
Tom
PS: I will probably find the answer to this lower in the newsgroup.....lol.
Why do I always start at the latest postings...and read backwards? That's
pretty dumb!

If you fix it, let me know. I switch cards last night to a
Creative labs TNT 2 and same problem still. it will load
up, but it locks on the second loading screen with the
picture of the #18 door.
I am so pissed i cant play this demo...Life just isnt
fair.<G> BTW:
With the Viper 550 and the TNT2 card, i tried the newest
drivers for my SB live, the newest NVIDA drivers, DX 7.0a,
new drivers for the Thrustmaster NASCAR pro, New drivers
for the Microstar Motherboard 5169. I have uninstalled, the
game different times, and reinstalled in. Tried installing
to different drives..Everything.

Guys, I may be trashed for mis-interpreting your posts, but
it it possible that your download got corrupted? I know I have
had this happen before and its a bitch to have to download it
again.
Maybe, try getting the hood.tex file from someone if it is
separate and adding it.
