Would someone please tell me how to enable force feedback in GPL? I just got my new LWFF and its awesome in every other game, but i feel nothing in GPL. Thanks! Rik

This is the setup (plain vanilla) in my core.ini. I have an ACT LABS Force RS and it works great. [ Joy ] allow_force_feedback = 1 ; Use FF if device has it force_feedback_damping = 40.000000 ; force feedback damping coefficient force_feedback_latency = 0.085000 ; force feedback latency (secs) max_steering_torque = 225.000000 ; steering torque in N*in giving max device force On Wed, 16 Aug 2000 23:38:31 GMT, "rik anthrax" <[email hidden]> wrote:

Remove "hi" from address or it will bounce....

Also, the "core.ini" file that you will find in your GPL folder after installing the 1.2 patch is actually called "core.ini.sample", and it needs renaming to just "core.ini" before GPL will read it. My core.ini settings for a LWFF using the USB connector (p3-650) are [ Joy ] allow_force_feedback = 1 ; Use FF if device has it force_feedback_damping = 5.000000 ; force feedback damping coefficient force_feedback_latency = 0.025000 ; force feedback latency (secs) max_steering_torque = 200.000000 ; steering torque in N*in giving max device force although I wouldn't claim they were perfect. <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Don't forget to disable the centering spring, it masks the subtle FF effects in GPL. rik anthrax wrote: > > Would someone please tell me how to enable force feedback in GPL? > I just got my new LWFF and its awesome in every other game, but i feel > nothing in GPL. > Thanks! > Rik
