At every race, it's a pleasure to fight against our car,
with understeer, oversteer, but we can correct our trajectory
even if we start to lose the control.
I made a very great race at Spa (8 laps) yesterday (doing my first championship
!!)
and i want to share my feelings:
I was 3rd in the grid and, after "Eau Rouge", i was only 5th.
Then, i drive as quick as i can to overtake the 4th and 3rd.
So, after 3 laps, i was 3rd, 3 seconds behind Braham and Clark, the 1st and 2nd.
Then, i try to overtake them but, impossible because they were exactly as fast
as me !!
But the miracle appeared in the 7th lap: In the terrific "Eau Rouge", Clark
wants to attack
Braham but hits him and the 2 guys made a HUGE crash, exactly like Villeneuve
and Zonta
at Spa 98.
So, i was a lucky 1st in the 7th lap and think that i will obtain a quite easy
win..........but GPL
is cruel. At the last lap (yes, the last !!) , i heard a enormous "BOUM", i
looked at the mirrors
and saw a big fire in the rear of my car: my engine just exploded.
Bye bye victory, but it was a great moment......
This race remembers me a little the Clark 67' Monza race:
He overtake a lot of cars, was first with a good advance and, in the last lap,
he was out of fuel and lost the race.
Someone gets excited about GPL and you nitpick his comments to death. Nice.

I love GPL, but I also love simracing in general, and hate to see such sweeping
generalisations about other sims because I feel it cheapens GPL when it's
placed (wrongly IMHO) in such worshipful regard, I actually can prolly find
about as many things that annoy me about GPL as in any other sim racer.
