Come on guys, Its obvious he didn't download the sim. Or he's mad because his PC can't handle it. Rush if your looking for solitude there are 2 ways of getting it: 1. Download it for GPL 2. Keep playing N3 "Rush" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:iFkn5.1169$[email hidden]... > I gave Nascar Heat a good work out today. I gave Nascar Heat a good work out today. I am very dissappointed with the consenus that Heat is better than N3. Folks, it isn't even a distance third. Heck, Porche Unleased is better than Heat. Maybe its just the Demo, but Richmound isn't even close to real thing much less that N3. I need help with what people in this newsgroup are seeing in this sim. The in-car view is very acadic, and not very responsive. The replay were nice and had some cool effects, but overall, N3 with all the upgrades people have made, makes this sim the best.......even still. I sure someone will make better add ons for Heat, which may improve the overall game play realism, but it certainly has a ways to go. The time frame from when Viper was released to pre-Heat relased should have made for a better piece. The boys at MGI are good code writers, I just don't understand the end product with Heat. Maybe its just the Demo. N4 should be pretty good, if we actually get to see it.

Are you kidding? It hurts my eyes playing N3 now! Also, you can get away with a lot in N3. For example, you can mash the brake at max and the then release it gently to make the corner, with no wheel lock up. In NH, you have to be careful with braking. I can't see a difference in the track layout from one game to the other, other than NH's looks better. At least the painted lines are "curved". Pit lane is straight, cars looks nicer; as far as the cockpit goes, I don't know what you mean by "arcade look": looks okay to me. The only thing I prefer in N3 is the wheel config; there's too many thing to mess up with in Heat, and you don't know if the car setup or the wheel setup that's messing your handling. Have you ever driven the real Richmond track? Rush wrote:

Just curious, did you enable and try hardcore? I think you'll find it's very realistic under hardcore mode. I consider the physics almost equal to GPL. I find the car has weight and the N3 car doesn't. I also find the NH car has proper momentum. When I spin out at 200 mph and I sail across the infield, I cover my eyes as I approach the wall ;-). I'm very impressed with NH, although N3 is still pretty damn good considering the age of the engine. I guess NH isn't for everyone. -- Joe Marques Please remove "NO SPAM" to e-mail me. Hi, you trolling? Gotta be kidding really.. Nascar 3 is/was a bummer... Nascar heat with the hardcore thingie gets a lot closer to giving me the 'ooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr..hot maaaaaaammmaaaaa feeling' (as GPL does) then N3 ever did... willem On Sat, 19 Aug 2000 00:37:34 GMT, "Rush" <[email hidden]> wrote: >I gave Nascar Heat a good work out today. Im sorry Rush, you got to be kidding. Do you work for Papy? Nascar Racing series has had a good run and I have purchased every version but give me a break. I have no loyalty to any title/label. If it looks good and its fun I buy it. Period. > I gave Nascar Heat a good work out today. I am very dissappointedwith the > consenus that Heat is better than N3. Hmmmm......... geee I don't really have a response to this. If you can't see the improvements over N3 then I wouldn't be able to enlighten you anyway since you think nothing can be more realistic. Keep enjoying N3! Vintook "Rush" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:iFkn5.1169$[email hidden]... > I gave Nascar Heat a good work out today. What a mean spirited comment. So much for using the RAS for information and general opinons. Yes I downloaded the demo. I have a 950 Thunderbird system with a CDS4000 driving wheel. I guess we can dicker over whos is bigger. Today being Saturday, I am going to give NH some more time. Also, I never said I would not buy the game. It is the sim community that makes sims better with enhancements. Hey, thanks for the hate embrace.
Is Nascar Heat out yet. I heard the 22nd of August for a release date. If it's already out I'll have to go and get it.. Alan wrote:

HEY GUYS!!!! just becuase a person prefers N3 over HEAT doesnt mean he deserves to be FLAMED 24/7!! people are entitled to their own opinions! the whole world doesn't have to like Heat or GP3! personally, my experience with sims outside of papy has been bad with the worst being F1 2000.
