Sammy Swindell Takes the Lead for the Ratbag Games Cup!
With only 2 TNN Pennzoil World of Outlaws broadcasts remaining...Sammy
Swindell has taken the lead over Steve Kinser in the Ratbag Games Cup point
standings.
Following the July Williams Grove TV event, Steve and Sammy were tied in the
race for the Ratbag Cup....but a 'racing incident' involving Kinser at the
Amoco Knoxville Nationals has allowed Sammy to put 3 points between himself
and "The King".
Mark Kinser secured his best TV event finish since the Ratbag Games Cup
inception (Kings Royal), by winning at Knoxville, and he was followed across
the finish line by 4 other Ratbag Games Cup competitors-Donny Schatz, Danny
Lasoski and Johnny Herrera. Strangely enough, Mark Kinser, Schatz and
Herrera are all now tied for 5th place in the standings.
The Ratbag Games Cup is a $300,000, 3 year prize pool that includes the
top-10 Pennzoil World of Outlaws drivers that are included in the upcoming
Ratbag-developed release of "Dirt Track Racing:Sprint Cars - The Official PC
video game of the World of Outlaws". Only televised events count toward
point tallies for these drivers--and there are only 2 events remaining for
'Da King' to make a run on Swindell for the Cup, I-80 Speedway (Greenwood,
Neb) in September and the WoO finale' at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in
November.
The Ratbag Games Cup will add more races to its list in 2001, as TNN has
announced an increase in televised events for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws
series! (See www.Outlaws.com for more information)
