I don't see a new FF wheel listed on their web page. I see a new
Logitech FF gamepad though (rumble pad). Any urls with info on this
wheel?

I looked, but couldn't find anything. If they have improved the pedals
I might buy the wheel.

hmmm.... We've gone through this over and over and over but for old times
sake....
I know many like to drive with shoe or slippers on which needs a heavier
spring to but to be honest I've looked at the MSFF pedals and some other,
they are way too hard. No race car is like that. No road car is like that
for that matter! You have to force the pedals. I can understand the need for
an extra bit of feel while wearing shoes.
On the other hand, I'm a bit of a one to lounge around the house when I'm at
home so I'll usually play bear foot or in my socks.... this gives a terrific
feel from the pedals. The throttle is so light yet you can just feel it
under your foot. Perfect.
The brake is great too stiffer than the throttle but easy to control.
I've tried using it with shoes on and it's impossible but without, the LWFF
is the best set of pedals I've ever used. (most realistic).
With shoes no others a better to feel the pedals but are much too stiff IMO.
Thats just how I feel on the matter.

Actually, brakes in a racecar are sooo hard you'll think you'll never
stop........
Sudesh
PS
I drive with an old valvespring in my LWFF pedals

I have MS pedals and I always play barefoot too. They are not stiff at
all. Maybe I would like the Logitech pedals. I'm just going by the
many complaints I've seen here about them.

If you like the MS pedals I'd guess you'd hate the Logi pedals, they have
far less travel making accurate braking and accelerating difficult.
As for the other guys comments about the MS pedals being too stiff, I think
he must have tried a faulty unit, mine are easier to depress than the
Logitech's, easier than even the accelerator pedal in a roadcar let alone
brake.

Hmmm..... thinking about it, I'd say a race cars brakes would be a bit
tougher than my karts brakes. I haven't donethe squash ball thing but I'd
imagine that it'd make the pedals perfect IMO. Or at least pretty good:-)
Does the new LWFF have paddle shifters? I can't see any in the promo
shots...

From looking at the box, they appear to be more like a combination
button/lever - I'm sure they probably work fine, but I'm suspicious of
full-lock behavior compared to paddles.

With shoes on I really can't use the LWFF pedals, I use my CH pedals
for GPL (with shoes on, perfect). With bare feet the LWFF pedals are
quite good indeed, but after half an hour racing my left foot starts
to hurt from keeping my foot at such a high angle.
Andre
more like large buttons. They do have a positive click and are not
flimsy.
