IM NOT RUNNING TO THE STORE!!
Quiet day before NASCAR Heat's release
A poster noted the lack of NASCAR Heat posts on the eve of its release and asked whether the missing save-game feature had put people off. Some said it had moved the game to their 'maybe' list, while most said they would still buy it and asked for the save-game argument to end. Retailers were reported to expect stock on 23 August.

Has the lack of a game save put people off?
Please give us a break with the save game. I'm guessing that every single
one of us here(including you) will be running to the store on tues. I don't
mean to be rude, but we've all heard all of the arguments about the save
game about enough I think. The horse is dead.

Don't know about others, but for me yes. It's now off my "must buy"
list to "maybe buy".

Not arguing here, just very surprised that so many people here find a
save game feature so important..

feature either right?
P.S. - Yes, the lack of a save game feature is lame but it certainly
doesn't prevent me from buying a racing sim. To each his own I guess...

Naw, not here anyway. I figure I'll just load up a race the length I feel I
can devote to it, and run it.

Actually, I could care less about a save feature. Makes absolutely no
difference to me, either way. Maybe other games need a save feature
of some sort, but racing games need them the least of all.

Nor am I. I am driving to the store. It's about 20 miles away.

I'd agree it's pretty disappointing too. Not so sure it's a showstopper
though. And the reason they make a loud fuss about it is valid. They
want to let the developers know *why* it didn't sell in their case.
