I just bought a Thrustmaster digital pro. The problem is my system will crash with a OE blue screen error at bootup, I then have to go to safe mode and uninstall the Thrustmaster drivers then reboot to get my system up and running. I have tried the latest drivers on their website and no difference. My computer is 4 months old, a HP 8670C running Win 98 se. Anyone else experienced this problem and know the solution? Thanks

The TM NASCAR Pro Digital wheel is running fine........the HP is not....... You can't put anything in an HP computer....it won't run. Heck, they don't even run with an Intel processor in them.....do they? I've never seen one operate....so I'm not sure! If you are still within your "return" period.....do it. If not......throw it away. That procedure will ultimately save you a bazillion dollars in psychiatric fees, Prozac prescriptions and you'll never have to sit through a "group session" of "I Tried To Make An HP Computer Actually Work"....12-step program! I'm speaking from experience.........I've been in "recovery" six years now! Tom (PS: ....just kidding of course...but you get the point?) Really! I have a hp AND IT HAS A pent3 550 i also use the thrustmaster pro digital wheel. all works fine in GPL anyway. Try downloading the new drivers for your wheel I also installed a ATI rage fury 32 meg card and i am getting 36 fps at 1024 in GPL whith all the eye candy on. So to the fellow who seems to think you cant upgrade a HP I say LOL you are very wrong. Good luck "Tom Pabst" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:kKgo5.122336$[email hidden]... > The TM NASCAR Pro Digital wheel is running fine........the HP isnot....... > > You can't put anything in an HP computer....it won't run. Gordon did you have any problem getting GPL to recognise the Pro digital pedals as split axis? I could not get the brakes and the throttle to be controlled by different axii inGPL. This still happened even after I deleted all references to other controllers in the windows game controller applet. The latest version of the drivers from the Thrustmaster website did not help either. nope no trouble at all I just did not use the software that came with the wheel . and choose insteed to just use the widows 98 drivers. just play with all the settings and im sure you will find the right set up.
