the tabbed pages like they have on NASCAR.com and all the other ESPN sites?
Looks like they're just hide/show layers to me.

you could also do an image map strip of the tabs on the top, loading a
different one for each 'page.' I know, I know..old tech...but I bet
it works better on more browsers that any java solution...)
