SCGT Video Problems

4 posts by 3 people · 24 Aug 2000 - 25 Aug 2000 18:38 UTC

I just upgraded my HP Celeron 533MHz 64MB RAM 3MB video RAM to 128MB RAM and a Voodoo3 2000 (16MB video RAM). When I load up Sebring and some of the other tracks, it gets past the loadup screen and freezes before I get to the grid. Anyone else had this problem? Sundown

Are you choosing the 3dfx display option when you start scgt? You "might" think about re-installing scgt since you made the system change. also...there are new V3 drivers...check'em out. 3dfxgamers.com Can you get any of the tracks to load? Have you patched scgt to version 1.551??? any big changes to the sim like the touring car or alms pathces??? start with a clean fresh install and choose 3dfx and that should do it. with good drivers of course. dave henrie "Tim 'Sundown' Traylor" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > I just upgraded my HP Celeron 533MHz 64MB RAM 3MB video RAM to 128MB > RAM and a Voodoo3 2000 (16MB video RAM). Have you tried only racing at servers that have pings of less than 100? Do you have the following in your core.ini? [ Communications ] disable_modem = 1 ; Default send_every is 2. Default send_size is 84. See readme for details. net_mdm_client_send_every = 3 ; Client packet freq on dialup net_mdm_client_send_size = 84 ; Client packet size on dialup net_mdm_server_send_every = 3 ; Server packet freq on dialup net_mdm_server_send_size = 84 ; Server packet size on dialup bcast_listserv = 207.55.131.190 ; IP address of race list server bcast_send_freq = 30 ; race data send frequency If yes to the above questions, then I don't know.
