Just out of curiousity, how large is that download of Slot's NH LWFF settings. His site says that it's only a few KB, but I've tried downloading them now at least 5 times, and the download goes on and on for Megabytes and megabytes, then it abruptly ends with a download error. In fact, as I write this, it's again up to 500K and going strong with no end in sight. Am I doing something wrong? I'm clicking on the LWFF patch at the bottom of the Nascar Heat page, right? His settings are only 6 lines of the options.cfg file, here they are: ff_deadband_width -1.34000 ff_inband_damping 0.000000 ff_inband_spring 0.300000 ff_outband_damping 0.000000 ff_outband_spring 0.050000 ff_torque_gain 0.550000 Just copy over the original six lines and you're good to go. -- Joe Marques Please remove "NO SPAM" to e-mail me. Couldn't agree more. It's such a dramatic change in quality force feedback that my lap times improved immediately. I'm loving this game more and more every hour I play it. Beat the heat is a blast. It's a lot like the old PSX GT driving tests. The challenge of trying to win the event keeps you going back over and over again and all that practice makes you a better driver without ever getting bored. For all you out there who haven't tried this, download the LWFF settings from http://www.slottweak.com/. I tried it last night, and was completely amazed by the improvement! The FF even feels better than in GPL on my system! I thought the FF in GPL was good, but after I tried Slot's FF settings for Nascar Heat I realized that it's time to start experimenting with my GPL FF settings, I didn't know that my LWFF could produce such a fantastic FF... If anybody has the LWFF settings for GPL which give the same FF feel as Slot's Nascar Heat tweaks does, please post the settings here. Andre

It's only the options.cfg + a readme file, so it's only a few kb's indeed. Works fine for me. I've mailed the zip to you. Andre

Thanks! I was downloading thru the Download Manager of Zip Magic. Once I disabled it, I was able to download properly. (Can't really figure out what the hell Zip Magic was downloading though....) One last question. Slot's website says that this config works with the NH Demo. Does it also work with the retail version? (I just bought it and am about to install it.) Thanks! Joe Marques wrote:
