My GPL has developed a rather odd bug. Every once in a while when I
enter a training session, the automatic gearbox turns itself on.
It took me a while to discover what exactly was happening: at first
it simply seemed like the gearbox didn't work at all or was somehow
lagging because when I punched the upshift button nothing would
happen until I raised the revs. The gear shifter help checkbox in the
options menu is not turned on at any stage. Sometimes I get rid of
this by starting a new session, sometimes I need to quit and restart
the game. Has anyone else experienced this? It may not be a fatal
bug, but it sure is annoying.
PS. I finally made it in the top 50 in GPLRank! That is, the
top 50 Finnish players ranking... out of 56. .) It's nice what a
calm, restrained 9:18 lap can do. Next objective: to reach 107.0%
at some track. Any track.

This was a known bug in version 1, try patching to version 1.2 if you
haven't already done so.

Heh heh
That's my objective at the moment too :-).. I've got them all bu tthe ring
under 120% and one is 110%, so I'm going for 107% now. Good to know
someone's in the same boat.
