Let's see: I hear you and I've had problems with other games. Bottom line is I guess I don't care enough about Nascar racing to bother with it. By the way, I went through 3 reboots and it just seemed to lock up after about 2 minutes of action each time. Been there done that. I know I could get it to work but I just don't care to. Dumb decision to buy it. My bad. Sucked into hype. GP3 and GPL are more my cup of tea. I had a ton of problems with F1 2000 and still don't like the resource hog aspects. Last night I threw it off the hard drive after enjoying GP3. GP3 and GPL run like champs on my current rig for racing and I just don't see anything on the near horizon to chase drivers/video cards/motherboards/cpus. Maybe if World Sports Cars sees the light of day. N4 will be well, just another darn Nascar game. I just don't care for the Nascar "racing" variation. Now, GPL2 ...... Jeff

Hi revved, wondering one thing... Can you try exact same setting with 2X FSAA ? Also try with "fastest performance" vs "single chip" from V5 panel... Also wondering.. it's highly possible you'll get same results in 1280 x 1024 with 2 X fsaa enabled... Don't have the game, but I'm sure you'll be surprised by some results.. Have you seen the winner's circle yet? It's kind of funny. Your entire crew is jumping up and down. I did a 10 lap 22 car race at Daytona. Hardcore and AI on Pro. Just beat Dale Sr. by half a second by the finish line. One thing though - in Pro mode, don't lose the draft. You'll never catch up ;) I must admit, I'm having fun. -- Slot Tweaks & Reviews www.slottweak.com "rrevved" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > > Dell PIII-600 / Voodoo5 / 256mb / TB Montego II soundcard, > Force RS wheel. Thanks for the post rrevved. I'm using fraps as well. I start out in the low 20's then hit 28-30 after we spread out a bit. My settings and specs: PIII 600e @ 672 V5 5500 128 MB Ram 800x600 2xFSAA One click down on Detail One click down on Draw Distance All Mirrors Detail Cars OFF The main difference is I get this performance with a full field of 43 cars. I bet you'd get the same with lower res and 2xFSAA. Try 800x600 with 2xFSAA, I bet it looks better than 1280 without FSAA. BTW, a agree about the stability of fps, never drops down quickly so not stttutttterrrr! -- Joe Marques Please remove "NO SPAM" to e-mail me. hmmm N1 ICR1 Links 386 Sim City Classic Demolition derby 2 (or whatever) I haven't had 1 problem running more than demo derby sine I moved to windows 05 on my IBM Aptiva 100 Mhz, and now my DELL Dimension XPS450. maybe it's everyone's homebrew machines and cheap store bought PC's the stink, and not developers or Microsoft. I believe I mustn't have had a driver conflict or memory issue for almost 5 years.
