Before you buy.
I only got GPL in January as I found it at www.dragon.ca for a good
price. I had always been into sims except during my college years.
After buying a LWFF for SCGT, I finally decided to stop listening to
R.A.S.. I mean how addictive could GPL be?! :P
GPL is the greatest car simulation...EVER! GP3 and f1-2000 are okay.
They are great for modern day sims...if that's what you're looking
for. But every little detail and facet of GPL makes it the greatest.
It seems that the designers didn't skip over one little thing.
[okay there are a couple things they could have improved on...but I
can't think of either one of them]
Once again, to the Papyrus guys who worked so hard on GPL... THANK
YOU. This sim is amazing.

Bendito;
I occasionally get tired of people raving over GPL around these parts,
but I've been getting back into it myself in an effort to advance my
GPL Rank a bit, and I have to agree with you 100%!

It's a shame it didn't sell well. They could have worked on a sequel otherwise.

It's probably partially my fault... i didn't buy it for about 1.5
years after it was released :(
(but my marks in school were much more important!)
I got it for about $10.... and worth $500 in my opinion.
The quality of GPL shows for me in the fact that I have 're-discovered' the
game already three times.
I bought the game directly when it was released and spend two or three
months practicing at Monza and Spa I got a bit bored with practising but my
hardware couldn't give my high enough FPS to do races. Therefore, I switched
to less demanding games.
When I upgraded, I was able to do races which I did for a time but when work
and studies became a bit busy, I went to games that I could play for 15
minutes without having to stop in the middle of a race (mainly TOCA2,
solitaire and hearts network).
After a while when things settled a bit, I went back to GPL and enjoyed it
even more.
Now after another busy period and an upgrade, I rediscovered GPL for the the
third time and, thanks to GPLRank I enjoy it more than ever.
Unfortunally, monday begins a busy period (that means: correcting tests
almost every evening) that last till christmas. So I guess I will discover
that I have dropped a few hundred placed in GPLRank by that time...

Currently I'm reading the sequel, "Lila: An Inquiry Into Morals". But
this is OT. :)
