I just read thereview of TOCA world Touring (playstation) at BBC Ceefax (page 507). They were quite happy with it to say the least. They gave it a 10 out of 10. Has anyone already played this game for the playstation? Are the physics similar to TOCA 2 or is it more/less arcade? Are the graphics better than TOCA 2? Which cars/tracks are included? (I mean: is Zandvoort included?) And: has anyone any idea when the game will be released for PC? grtngs, hrgm -- -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GED/S/IT d- s+: a-- C++ UO P L+ E W++ N++ o? I bought it on Saturday played it for 30 mins & then switched to Gran Turismo 2 Physics are the same - Arcade Graphics are no better than Toca 2 Some of the Tracks - Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Monza, Watkins Glen, Bathurst, Vancouver, Adelaide, Surfers Paradise I would have to say that Bathurst was a real dissapointment, the Dipper at the top of the mountain is just non existent and some of the corners are rounded off too much especially Murray's Corner Some of the cars - Holden, Ford, BMW, Nissan, Honda I don't think it's being released on PC I thought I would of liked this game because of all the Australian Cars & Tracks, but sadly it was not to be "Han Monsees" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8ob9rf$jr9$[email hidden]...

Bummer! I remember a LONG time ago that this was talked about here but haven't heard anything for a good 6 months! The thought of running bathhurst and other tracks like those used by the DTM series is quite appealing! When they wrote Toca and Toca2 were the console versions the same as the PC versions, or were they more advanced/complete? I wonder if the same is true for this one? I seem to recall CMR having more "bells and whistles" on the PC version than the console, but seeing that I don't own a console I can't say for sure. And... Can we be sure it won't come out for the PC? If so.. Why? Codemasters has released at least 3 games I can think of for both so why not Toca3? He's right, no touring car patch is needed. However, be advised that Bathurst is a real memory hog, so I hope you have a decent comp! Before I got my Voodoo3, I could only run with two other opponents! Enjoy the mountain, Sundown

But I'm not sure how You don't need the touring car patch to load a custom track. Just use that MASpuce program to add the track in manually. The touring car patch is really only to add more car classes. But what I used to do was use the GTQ class as a variable car class. Sometimes, I'd use it for VW's, sometimes for F1 cars, sometimes for DTM cars, sometimes for the V8's, and so on. I had a system set up so that it was pretty easy to switch between different types of cars. If someone needs to know how to add in the Bathurst track using MASpuce (but without the touring car patch), just e-mail me (remember to remove the "deletethis" from my e-mail address). Bendito;
Bathurst is available in a VERY good form for SCGT. There are several sites with DTM and Aussie Touring cars and the uspits and iwwwwwcars is attempting to get a bunch of 2.0 litre super tourers out. dave henrie "Jay J" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:qKhq5.22529$%[email hidden]... > Bummer! > > I remember a LONG time ago that this was talked about here but haven'theard > anything for a good 6 months! I've got the bathhurst patch from www.theuspits.com & IWCCS but can't seem to get it to work :-( The doc's say you need the touring car patch from the pits, but the only touring car patch I can find is for Nascar2/Nascar99 not SCGT! Can anyone help out here? I'd love to give the mountain a go... Jay J Dave Henrie <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:4ejq5.31007$[email hidden]...

I know a bunch of the GTIC folks got Bathurst to load without using the touring car patch. But I'm not sure how. The touring car patch basically duplicates the spcar.exe file and allows four more classes of cars. You should be able to find it at the pits as well. Check out the scgt section. dave henrie "Jay J" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:qUlq5.43$[email hidden]...
