Its strange I only have one gameport choice "standard" with the MX400, but on my other machine which has the MX300 I have two choices "standard" "Monster II Port". No matter how I calibrate the TSW or my regular joystick I get the "wiggles" Its almost like spurious emissions are interferring with the gameport. Digital is definately the way to go, but TSW don't make a digital wheel. I'll have to runn HEAT on my 400 system until I get the 800 sorted out, hopefully with the PDPl gameport card. Thanx for the help !! On Sun, 27 Aug 2000 06:33:48 -0500, rrevved <[email hidden]> wrote:

The TSW is brand new, I have the same problem with my joystick as well, very strange ! My TSW and joystick work great on my Celeron 400 system. Both running same version of Win98 On Sun, 27 Aug 2000 04:48:50 -0500, rrevved <[email hidden]> wrote:

I recently build a Athlon 800/Abit A7 ATA 100 system, everything works great, except the joystick port. I load up Heat or N3, then attempt to calibrate my joystick or TSW2 under Control Panel/Game Controllers and the calibration cross is wiggling all over the screen. I uncheck poll for interrupts then tried calibrating again, same problem, calibrating cross is wiggling around the screen. I then decided to run some practice laps, get in the game and the car is erractically steering all over the track. I have uninstalled and reintalled the gameport several times under Device Manager. I have even swapped out the sound card (MX 400) with a SB 16, still same problem. I decided to pick up a dedicated gameport card hopefully this will help. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanx

I had one and everytime I upgraded to new cpu I would redjust it. I would get what you describe if it wasn't set right. The for sure solution is to go digital/USB. But, that will cost you. -- Nos
