Don't know what all the complaining about yellows is about. I just did a 15%
daytona with vertex damage on, hardcore mode, 2X wear, 43 car pro field. I
qualified 21st. Race started I ran for 4 laps with cars all around when I
cut down in front of someone and he got me skidding sideways. I never got in
the air and got rear-ended a little(left rear bumper was pushed in a little)
but managed to not hit anything and brought the car around. Spotter was
saying there was a yellow flag before I had even stopped skidding. With the
damage I was never able to catch the last car in the field. Finished 43rd
2.1 secs back. I've raced about 4 races and been yellow flagged every race
for pretty much the same amount of wrecking. I didn't really have to do
anything I didn't feel was out of the ordinary to get a yellow either. As
for damage, I think that little bit did slow me since I was never able to
catch the last car so maybe if you race with the vertex damage on the damage
has an effect. I'm happy with the game and hope they make another one. I
think the best answer so far about the damage modeling is to not get in a
wreck. I'll have to race some more to further see what everyone is bitching
about but so far I don't really see it, but then again maybe I just got a
real good copy!
