I stopped for a splash and go and 2 tyres with 7 to go and won.

OK I am seriously p/o'd now, after about 15 tries I am ready to throw
in the towel
What lap, combo works for this one I have tried everything I can think
of and the best I can do is 9th, all I want is to get the bronze and
move on.
Before this race I seem to be getting a 50/50 mix of gold/silver, on
this one I would be giddy of the damn bronze <G> help!!!!

I first tried to pit immediately (this is the splash 'n' go one,
right?) and that didn't work out, mostly because I hadn't driven the
track yet in NH. I tried a couple more times and finally had success
pitting two laps after that scenario started.
One thing you may be missing it changing the pit settings to only
splash 'n' go, no tires and don't fix damage. Other than that,
remember you don;t have to be gingerly on the way out of the pits.
You're pitted right at the front, so have the htrottle mashed right
down as soon as you go. It happens pretty quickly if you use the
above settings.

to blink), then pitted, only taking splash and go, no tires finished 1st
by blocking like crazy ;)

Hehe, that's how I got 6th at the richmond one. I'd fly down the backstretch,
head straight on to the apron and use the cars ahead as a "stopper". Worked
pretty good

Boy, does *that* sound familiar. You have to get that low groove
right there, too, or you're dead.
Sears Point is an exceptionally brutal track for treating the AI
aggressively. In the BTH challenge there I think I left some paint on
every single car I passed.

Yep. Then on exit, you take them up to the wall & peel them off you.
Not that *I've* ever done that, mind you. ;-)
