I can't get to redline anymore in 5th gear and 4th takes a long time to get to
redline (other gears may be slow as well, I just notice it in the upper gears).
I replaced the springs on the brake peddle of my Thrustmaster Nascar Pro
Racing Wheel. Then, I removed both peddles and lubed and adjusted the shafts.
When I re-assembled them, I put the flat part of the "D" of the pot shaft
facing the moving part of the pedal arm so that the vertical stroke of the "D"
is straight up and down. I tried different positions with the shaft, that
didn't help. I even cleaned the pots with tuner control, but that didn't help
either. Re-calibrated of course. I really hate getting passed by cars that
never were able to pass me before!
Any ideas?
Steve
As I know Nascar Pro pedals are the same as Formula One here, so , I guess I
should be right if I'll tell you next :
The full pedal travel doesn't use all the resistive area in potentiometer,
just about 45 degrees angle.
But with the resistance of TM pots, Windows game port cannot handle all of
the its range.
So you should plug the wheel and pedals and assemble it with Control
panel/Game controllers started. Just find the position where you can move
the pedal <-> controlling its effective in GC.
