I've swapped the engine sounds for the F1 cars in GPL, but is there a
way to change the F2 engine sounds? I have d/l files with names like
"f2f3ferlow.wav" and "f2Brab.wav", but placing them in my \gpl\sound
folder does not appear to effect any change. I am guess now that PGL
only has one default sound for the trainer cars? If so what would I name
the chosen wave file to make GPL recognize it?
Then the "solution" for that problem is to have a group of wav files that
can be swapped out via a batch file prior to running gpl. All we need is a
dedicated user to professionally record a series of wav files from 1967
vintage era engines and process them to work appropriately with gpl. Then
you just run the simple batch file that will ask what engine you want to use
today? type in the appropriate letter and the f2f3.wav file will be copied
over by your new sound. close the batchfile box and launch gpl. The new
engine sound would be the default until you changed it again correct?

Thanks, much!
Hi,
you need to change the name of the sound file you wish to use for the
F2/F3 cars to: "F2f3.wav" and place it in your GPL\Sound\ folder...
It isn't possible to have different sounds for all the Marques in F2/F3
like you can have in F1, because GPL uses the sound file "F2f3.wav" for
all the F2/F3 marques..
Hope that helps..
Cheers,
Ron

Yeah Dave, that would be one way of doing it if you wanted a different
sound for each of the marques in F3 or F2, but all the other marques in
F3/F2 will have the same sound each time you do this too,
unfortunately...
That is where i found the sound patch for the F1 marques in GPL very
good, because using a different sound for each marque at least allows
me to know what sort of marque is about to overtake me next, and when i
hear the sound of a BRM approaching, i know i had better get my act
together or face humiliation again....
Cheers,
Ron
