Hi there
Strange things in my GPL: the marshals show the wrong flags, e.g. green
instead of blue when a faster driver is behing me, or blue instead of
white when a slow car is on the track. This happens most of the time,
but not always. Sometimes in the beginning of a race or qualifying it's
correct, but after a while the colors change during the session!
Has anybody else seen this effect? Any solutions?
Specs:
GPL 1.2 with D3D patch (german version)
Asus V6600 (Geforce256 SGRAM) with Asus v5.22e drivers
DirectX 7.0a
PIII 733, 128 MB
Thanks for any advice
Werner
I noticed it when using the d3d patch but not when using the glide
version.
I suspect it will be something we have to live with...but for me...not a
problem, they are ALWAYS showing me blue flags...:)
This with a 3dfx V5 5500 btw

I havn't seen that effect, I do for some reason get flag marshalls waving
blue flags at me telling me to let by the car I just lapped! They obviously
don't believe I can actually be faster than anyone else! Maybe Surtees is
behind this? Now he can't catch me he is playing mind games by getting the
marshalls to confuse me!

It seems to be a problem with the D3D patch. If I exit out of the game and
go back in it will be cured for a while. The last time this happened, the
flagman was waving a blue, yellow, green and white flag at me!!! The flag
would almost strobe or alternate amongst the colours. I thought "what
the hell is going on!?!?!"

Sorry, sorry, I HAD to do it, I've gotten so many things like that when I
was asking how to break 1.30 in monza.
Other solution, don't give a damn about the flags....

This would have been my next question, but I think I let it be :-)
Werner
Thanks for the replys guys.
It isn't a problem at all. With my old voodoo2 card I used to see blue
flags all the time, now I see green flags which is much better, isn't
it? :-)
I just wondered if it has something to do with the Nvidia drivers. But
in this case they don't seem to be the reason for the trouble.
