Autosport is reporting that the track currently being favored for the
2002 running of the British GP is Donington, in sunny Leicestershire.
Apparently Brands Hatch Leisure, which holds the rights to staging the
BritGP from 2002 onwards, is still waiting for gov't approval to begin
the necessary massive overhaul necessary at Brands, and though Donington
is also in dire need of rehab to make it conform to FIA specs, BHL feels
Donington has a better chance of getting it done by the 2002 race date
than Brands Hatch.

This would be no bad thing, considering the marvellous race in the rain in
93.
Senna forever!

Donington's an excellent spectator circuit, as well. And you can get
out of the car parks in the rain...

This would be good. Donington is a far better spectator and driver track
than Silverstone - the track could do with being a bit wider though,
especially on the Redgate->Coppice section.
Access is better than Silverstone as well.
