I just received my Guillemot Ferrari FF Wheel today and I have to say
I'm a bit disappointed. The FF effects are nice, but my complaint is
with the smoothness of the wheel. Words that come to mind that
describe what I'm feeling as I turn the wheel are���jittery, rough,
sticky. It's like a "ratcheting" sensation, as if something is rubbing
inside and becomes more noticeable when the FF effects kick in (i.e.
taking a banked corner in NH). My previous wheel was an old CH Virtual
Pilot Flight Yoke (don't laugh) and I always liked it due to the
extreme smoothness of the wheel�..never a hitch and it always snapped
back to perfect dead center.
So I guess my question is, is this considered normal for a FF wheel? I
find it hard to believe that anyone could tolerate the roughness that
I'm feeling, so I'm assuming that it's a defect?
