Apart from the usual frustration with the poor implemetation of the UI (i.e. no way of knowing if a server is racing or not), when I do eventually get connected I encounter a serious problem. Most races (possibly all with more than three cars) work OK in the chat room, but as soon as the track has finished loading all I see is a replay of the cars sitting on the start grid! The race never starts. Anyone else seen this? I'm in the UK using an analogue modem unfortunately, but my machine is high spec and the DUN is well tuned (DTR works beautifully online). Thanks, Andy Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Andy, No doubt your problem is due to a combination of lag and bad multiplayer on the part of Hasbro. Don't expect things to work online like they do with DTR. Now Hasbro will argue that there is more going on with Heat than DTR, so that's the reason one works better than the other. But I'll argue that Hasbro needs to tweak the multiplayer side of things. Multiplayer is not terribly bad-- the game does appear to tolerate high pings to a certain point. It just needs work. Alanb
we've had great results so far...but only with 5 or 6 cars...haven't found enough drivers to try bigger fields....check out kali and the nascar heat server. seeya.. dave henrie <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8onpq1$tcv$[email hidden]...
