Hi,
I've tried to play GP3 on a Pentium 233mmx/72 MB (don't have the money yet
to buy me a new PC) and with all details off it is running wonderly well!
Looks like GP2 back in '96 on sterods :-) However, it still runs in the 3D
software rendering mode though I have a 3dfx Voodoo installed. The game
recognizes it but it is grayed out in the graphic-options menu. I've tried
to edit "gconfig.txt" in the GP3-root but the problem is: what to fill in?
It looks like this:
;gp3 generated file - do not edit
[Software 3d] good 1 8192 3 8192
[S3 ViRGE-DX/GX PCI (375/385)] unavailable 0 0 0 0
[Voodoo Graphics 3D Accelerator] unavailable 0 0 0 0
In the "gp3Readme.txt"-file nothing is said about this "prehistoric"
3D-accelerator. But I can't imagine it can't be used for GP3. Any
suggestions? With the help of this card I must be able to increase
details/framerate for GP3.

V1 is only a 4 or 6 Mb card. GP3 need at least 8Mb of Gfx mem.

Gp3 requires a card that has at least 8mb of video ram and the voodoo1 only
has 4mb.
I don't think there is any way to get it to work with the voodoo1
