and I found a copy of the 1998 CART Nazareth 225! I might have to keep this
race for awhile.... this is when the Champ cars could pass someone on a short
oval. Michael Andretti drove around the OUTSIDE of both Greg Moore and Patrick
Carpentier to take the lead in turn 2 in the first few laps of the race. Then
Vitolo did was he does best: he crashed. Hehe Anyway, this is reminding me
just how much CART racing on the short ovals has gone downhill. I hope Bobby
Rahal and the rest of the CART bunch can give the drivers back cars that have
downforce and are able to pass other cars. I miss THIS...

I USED to tell Euro Road Racers who couldn't figure out the appeal of oval
racing, to watch a CART short oval. They would be amazed at all the
passing and manuvering etc. Not anymore.... The low dforce rules have made
the
short ovals more like F1 races with only left turns.
