Hi folks
I tried to run GPL today (Windows 98, DX7a) and I got a message to say MS
DirectDraw beta expired - please update. When I tried to run Viper Racing it
said my DirectX was the wrong version.
I have:
re-downloaded DX7aENG.exe and re-installed it - no difference
run Windows update - it said no new drivers needed
set my computer clock back - this works :))
but it is obviously not a satisfactory fix
Can anyone help me to fix this problem?
TIA
Tim L
Had same message the other day. Just got the latest build of DX8 and
installed it over the old build. Everything works fine now. Not much change
but no annoying message either. Go here
http://betatester.tin.it/en/index.htm for latest DX8 build.

Does DX8 offer any improvement? Worth updating from DX7a?
