I'm thinking of going with the Cel 566 but the cost including the Slotkey+Golden Orb would be more than the cost of Pentium3-550E ( slot 1 ) which can be o/c to 682 ( 124 x 5.5 ) and has benchmarked in Q3 and 3Dmark similar to Cel 566@850. I'm still torn between the the two, though. BTW, I'm currently running a system similar to yours. Great minds think alike, I guess. I just upgraded to a Celeron 566 from a Celeron 300a which was o/ced to 450 too. Also using an ABIT BH6. It took me a few days to get it to run at 850 though. In fact, I just got it to that sped this morning. Had to re-flash the BIOS at a higher default voltage in order to get a higher range of voltages to choose from. Mine's running at 1.85v now (to achieve 850). How about yours? Bert Don Burnette wrote:

Getting your FSB to run at 124MHz stable is unlikely on a BX mobo. Very good PC133 memory and a "lot of luck" and it may but the odds are against it. Dont forget you will still need a fan/heatsink with the P3-550. Not sure what benchmark you used but I have both a P3-700e@784 S1 (256K cache) on a BX6 rev1 mobo and a Cel566@906 on a BE6-2 and all benchmarks I ran saw better FPS with the celery/Be6 combo (although not by alot). But more important than a benchmark I can tell the difference in the actual games I play.
