I read on www.alphaf1.com/gp3/ that Hasbro is gonna release an add-on patch in November, incl. 1999 cars, drivers, tracks, and physics. What I wanna know is if this is going to be a free, down-loadable patch, or is it going to be something we have to buy. If it ain't free, who's gonna be the guinea pig to buy it? How much do you think they'll charge? How much would you pay for it? With all the "unofficial" add-ons out there already for the 2000 season, I really don't think it's gonna be a big hit... Warlock!
I don't believe that it's free. GP 2.51, anyone? "Matt Lanzer" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

There's 2 patches. One is free and all it does it fix the 2/3-axis problem and adds support for up to 8 buttons on your controller. The other is a 1999 upgrade. It includes the new track (Sepang) 1999 physics (4 grooves instead of 3) and the most important features are.................Safety car and REAL STOP AND GO PENALTIES!!!!! Should have been in the first fucking release if you ask me (and even if you don't). Why would you buy this? cos GP4 isn;t out till mid 2001. Well roll on F1RC.
Well, if it's the 99 season, it won't be free because the Malaysia track should also be included in it. -Cheers! "Matt Lanzer" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

the people who will buy it are most the people who brought gp3, the non hardcore, simmers, the people who still drive with all aids on. these are the people who didn't buy GPL as it is too hardcore. the majority of these people will be running the game un-modified, and will be grateful for the patch. There may be a few dedicated followers from this newsgroup who will buy the patch for that extra feature. lets just wait and see what the patch involves. -- Kieran www.pcracing.co.uk for GP3 and WSC Matt Lanzer <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > I read on www.alphaf1.com/gp3/ that Hasbro is gonna release an add-on > patch in November, incl. 1999 cars, drivers, tracks, and physics.
