Folks, I see there is still a big crowd who want to run legends online...
we've got a section reserved for that, the Grand National Car Club. We
even had a small season, that went very well...
However, over the last few months, it's kinda just fell over and slipped
away...but
if people are still interested in running N Legends online, I'm more than
happy to
keep it going...I prefer it over N3 anyday...but I can ALSO remember
actually watching
the big winged beasties on the track....DOH! I let it slip out... ;]
Stand buy, I'll put the area back online on The Pits, we've even got an
egroups section
setup for people wanting to let everyone know when there is a race...I'm
game!
Cheers!

I saw one of those old beasts on the street yesterday. Looked like a
Dodge Charger, even had the really high rear wing on it. I'm up for
joining a NL league too.

What you saw was the Plymouth Superbird, most likely. They are the only
cars I know of that have that wing.

Or a Dodge Charger Daytona..

You're probably right. I was too far away to see exactly what it was.
It's the first time I've seen one of those on the road though, well
ever, outside of Nascar Legends.

Yep, I just looked in NL and both the Plymouth and Dodge have the high
rear wing. This car had a very sloped front end so I think it was a
Dodge Charger.

". I don't recall what differences these changes made
FWIW....when I was about 10 I saw a Green Superbird(Plymouth) on the
highway...Then just this past year, I found out MY WIFE, long before we knew
each other, dated a guy who drove a Daytona around Boise Idaho....Good thing
I didn't even know where Boise was at that time ...

I was around then, but I was pretty young and certainly don't remember
seeing those cars on the street back then. I mean with the high rear
wing.

I saw a few of them back then, but more interestingly, I saw one last
week parked in a line for annual vehicle inspection here in
Masschusetts. It looked *really* out of place with all those Honda
Accords and Ford Tauruses and Nissan Maximas.
Always worth a visit here:

Cool website, thx. After looking at photo's of both the Plymouth and
Dodge cars I can't say which it was I saw the other day. They both
look so similar.
