GPL problem...

My screen has been freezing but the sound has been carrying on in GPL. This only happens in this game and no other. I am running a Voodoo 2, ATI rage pro and a PII 400 overclocked to 450. I put my processor back to 400 and the problems continued. I am running in 3dfx and tried to run D3D and open gl for a test and neither worked. I know this is a sign of the Voodoo overheating but I have a big fan and sometimes it can lock within 3 secs of jumping into the car which suggests that this is not the case. If you have updated your Voodoo drivers this may be the culprit. Some of the GPL sites, like Eagle woman's , used to have links or actual sets of the correct drivers. Place those inside your gpl folder and that will only effect gpl. 2nd. What about sound card issues? try removing the sound card and see if that clears it up. First remove it via the control panel and system's Device Manager. Then physically take the card out of the box. When you re-install, try to make sure you have the latest drivers already on hand for your card. 3rd... this is really minor stuff and you should be ashamed of yourself. I had this exact same problem when I used "Voodoo 2 Tweaker" to up the "pixel clock". I set it back to "90" and all has been well.

Get the glide2x.dll (version 2.53) at www.the-fastlane.com under patches and put it in the gpl folder.
