Last night I was in a race at Spa, and I realized that I had no gears on my wheel! So I basically drove around with one hand on the wheel and the other on the +/- keys on the numpad... bugger... Anyway, how do I fix this? How do I start a race including my LWFF profile? Thanks, Thomas Maarlund
i noticed the same thing when i tried winVROC w/my LWFF. its a pisser and i sure would like to know the solution. pronto. You need to create a new profile and set it to gpllaunch.exe in the WinVroc directory. dave "rik anthrax" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:SrQt5.31577$[email hidden]...

I believe you have to duplicate the profile you have associated with gpl.exe and associate the new one with GplLaunch.Exe in the WinVroc directory. When you were on-line, going to Options/Controller didn't allow you to configure? (just curious) Regards, Brett C. Cammack That's Racing! Motorsports Pompano Beach, FL

Hi you should be able to set your wheel settings using the "gpl launch" profile in your profiler. BUT half the time I join a race my settings are not transferred to gpl and I always reset using the options after joiningt the race weekend. Maybe someone knows how to get it working every time? I have the same problem. The problem appears to be related to Internet Explorer. If I start WinVROC without accessing Internet Explorer I can join races and the profiler works fine. If I start WinVROC then open Internet Explorer to browse the web while waiting for a race, the profiler usually doesn't kick in when I go back to WinVROC to join a race. The only reliable way I can get the profiler to work again is to exit Internet Explorer, WinVROC and exit the profiler by right clicking on the icon in the task bar. I then restart the profiler and then WinVROC. When I do this everything is fine again. I would be interested to hear if anyone has a better solution. Dave. I created another profile for WinVROC using all the same settings I had for the GPL profile except that it pointed at the winVROC executable file. I now luanch VROC through the profiler and when I join a race in VROC all the VROC profile settings are used for GPL. Since both settings are identical I get the same response in online GPL as I do in offline GPL. Unluckily no complete solution yet. Even the GPLlaunch-profile- trick doesnt work smoothly. My workaround: assign the shifter and left-right view in GPL AND NOT in the profiler. This makes sure that you have at least those commands available on your buttons. Though I'm missing the PO-, reset-, sorry-, NP- button.
