I seem to be having lots of trouble getting 3rd party cars imported into Nascar Heat, with both the paint256.res and paint.res. Would someone who has replaced as many of the fictional cars with real ones please email me either their paint256.res or paint.res file? I'd rather use the high-detail texture file (paint.res) since I have a geforce. p.s. I've followed the instruction for the restools carefully and have tried 6 times to import cars, but they just won't replace. i think, for some reason, NH is retrieving the paint.res file from the cd instead of on my hard drive. -D (be sure to take off the _nospam when emailing please)
never mind, I just now finally realized that you cannot rename the carxx.tex files in the respective .res file. I renamed, for example, car10.tex to car101.tex and all is well.
