GPL won't start

I've got a big problem with GPL: When I want to start the game, it shows the black screnn with the GPL logo, then it throws me back to windows desktop. Patches didn't work, the Grafics-adapter driver are new, the software rasterizer is activated - im helpless. I love the game, played it on other PC's, but why doesn't it work on my one?: PIII-500 128 meg RAM ATI Rage 128 Xpert 2000 ESS-1 PCI Audio Device DX 7 Everything other works fine.

Jan, I dont understand why software doesnt work. Have you tried changing the rasterizer to direct 3d? Perhaps try and install Direct X again. I had the exact same problem a few weeks ago when I did a reinstall of GPL. Turned out that for whatever reason, GPL had a conflict with my modem. Larry

This may not be applicable to your problem, but after installing some, but not all 'aftermarket' patches (if this is what you mean by 'Patches didn't work' ?), you need to re-patch with the official GPL patch.
