I've just noticed this rather insulting extract in the August edition of PC Gaming World (UK).
On page 33, under the "8 Hours Behind" column, it says:
"Racing Simulation Fans: As a rule, racing game fans are some of the most narrow-minded people on Earth. If they travelled back in time and served on
the jury during the Scopes Monkey Trial, evolution wouldn't have stood a chance. They are that special type of extremist whose PC wheel-and-pedal rig
costs more to insure than their cars."
They got one thing right - some of us to spend a enough money on our rigs to feed a small country, but does that mean we're narrow minded?
Perhaps the reviewers at PC Gaming World (UK) have been spending too much time on R.A.S?
:-)
Best regards,
Moon-Watcher
Hmmm... looks like we'll have to write some angry letters.

Truth hurts....
On Fri, 15 Sep 2000 02:04:05 +0200, "Jan Verschueren" <[email hidden]> enlightened us all with these kind words of wisdom:
>Hmmm... looks like we'll have to write some angry letters.
Or boycott them. ;-)
You'll understand the humour in that if you're British.
Best regards,
Moon-Watcher

How
can
they
just
blatantly
say
things
like
that
without
first
doing
some
research
into
just
how
narrow
our
minds
really
are?
It
boggles
my
mind
to
think
that
ANYONE
would
think
us
narrow-
minded.
At
least
this
post
should
prove
we
are
not
shallow!

No... I can obviously only speak for myself, but I am not narrow minded.
Arrogant, opinionated, argumentative, yes, but not narrow minded. ;-))

Heh heh...
The "Truth Hurts" comment wasn't directed at you specifically just so you
know. Good to know you are in touch with yourself though.. :-)
