does anyone have one? or a track creator that can do everything, i
hear there is one about but doesn't get spread because of possible
ability to cheat times in gpl. i dont want to do that, i just want to
create.
i want to make my own tracks, i have everything i need in the real
world, just need an editor.
you can send me any files or comments you might find useful to me be
mail preferably.

Sorry mate, to the best of my knowledge there isn't an "easy to use"
tool available for making GPL tracks......

i understand it won't be but i could use it, i'm used to learning
about software.
Does 3DO-ACAD (which I just spotted in the Utils section at GPLEA) work with
track files? Of course you would need Autocad 14 or 2000.

I honestly don't know how these guys do it, but since both Phil and
Martijn are both very talented people and it has taken them this long to
make to make 3 tracks, then it's obviously a fairly complicated/time
consuming task, as for David Noonan, well, when you've worked with
simulators as long as Geoff Crammond has, you learn a few things....

Though there is no editor available at the moment, I am pretty sure we might
see something soon. Recently there have been tracks emerging from a growing
number of sources and I don't think it will be too long before this
knowledge becomes obtainable to everyone.

There's a track editing forum here if you're interested. No Track
creation programs available though.

Papyrus made the decision that GPL would not be an open format, and did
not publish any info on the track format.
This has meant that several third parties have through a lot
of work, independently developed their own track editing technology, but
do not want to release it into the public domain.
Hopefully, one of these people will release their editor at some point.
Although this will lead to a lot more substandard tracks being released,
it might mean some of the more obscure tracks get done.
