I don't think this is possible, but I wanted to check to be sure. In GPL, is there any way to run on offline race (vs the AI) with a mixed field of F1 and F2 AI drivers? This would simulate some of the online races which allow for a mixed field. Thanks.
No but you could use AI Tweaker to adjust the performance of some of the AI to an F2 level. Available here http://www.theuspits.com/owheel/gpl/gpl.html#utilities "BRH" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Yes, you can do this. What you need is a utility called Svg-Edit. I don't remember where I picked it up but you can probably find it at http://www.theuspits.com . First you have to save a race at the track you'd like to use. Then run Svg-Edit and it will allow you to change a number of the parameters relating to the saved race. Among the things you can edit is the choice to run a mixed field. Then you go back into GPL and load the saved race. I usually use this so that I can run in an F2 while the AI use F1 at Solitude - it helps to make up for the slow-ass AI there. But you can use it to specify the class of every driver in the field. I'll check into that. Thanks! Stephen Warrior wrote:

Downloaded the Svg-Edit utility and it works as adverstised. Thanks for the tip. The number and quality of GPL add-ons and utilities continues to amaze me..... Stephen Warrior wrote:

This will, of course, enable you to re-enact (within the limits of the game/driver setup) the German GP of 1967, which was a mixed F1/F2 field. -- Regards, Bruce Kennewell, Canberra, Australia. --------------------------- BRH <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Downloaded the Svg-Edit utility and it works as adverstised. Maybe something is screwed up in a configuration file somewhere, I don't know. What I do know is that I am anything but a fast driver - I lap at around 3:40 at Solitude which is like a full 20 seconds slower than the record as far as I know. But when I race the AI, I can start at the back of the pack and take the lead usually within the 1st lap and then never see them again. This does not happen to me at other circuits (where I am usually left behind). If I race with an F2 car against F1 AI at Solitude I am still quite competitive. Do I have something set up wrong that is slowing down the AI? Is this something I can change in a configuration file or something? I love Solitude but the AI there just doesn't cut it on my system now. I think my PB at Solitude is only about 4:10. At that rate, the AI leaves me behind - they(Clark & Hill) run about 3:40.
