I mistakenly refered to the publisher of DTR Sprints as 'WizardWorts'
in my post above. Sorry. Everyone of course knows their real business
name is 'WizardWankers'- and nobody knows it better than anyone who was
idiotic enough to purchase Swamp Buggy Racing (by WizardWankers.) The
most complimentary review of Swamp Buggy I could find on the net called
it, 'possibly the worst racing game ever created.' Its good to know the
fate of DTR Sprints is in such good hands, isnt it??

Ratbag produced a game that was one of a kind, so of course they had
an easier go in the reviews. Try competing with Papyrus in the nascar
field and see what happens! But anyway, we differ on what high quality
means. I had a fairly popular DTR website, and I dont know how much
you've driven DTR, but the game was severly under-featured. It required
desperate 3rd party work (without the help of WizardTurds) to turn it
around so we could use it for something practical. Ratbag finally
included some things we were starving for in the patches that followed
later as a matter of fact. I know we had a direct positive effect.
You dont seem to be bothered by being suckered in to giving out your
mail address as part of a plan to use it in a mailing list, or whatever
it is they DO with the registered names. If you think its all perfectly
innocent then fine. I'm sure theres a whitewashed version of events
too. What is Sprints? Its a carbon copy of DTR but with different cars.
I'm sure it will be a success. I'm sure I will buy it. But I have no
respect for the way they played people re: the demo release.

The lead programmer let it be known that the demo for Sprints would be
out by the end of this week. High Gear carried that quote. Avault also
let people know on Ratbags behalf that by sending them your email
address (they call it 'registering' -yeah, right) you could get the
demo even earlier. Ratbags website continues to seek and accept these
so-called registrations.
Today a spokesman for Ratbag told us on the High Gear forum that (in
fact) they no longer have control of when the demo is released.. they
suggest possibly sending emails to WizardWorts might help- that is, if
we want the demo, but its totally in WizardWorts hands.
You know, I dont mind the wait as much as this constant use of CRASS
marketing and commercialization ploys involved with everything Ratbag
seems to be doing lately. Is it the Wilshe effect??? I dont know, but
they seem to be leaving no stone unturned in their attempts to scrape
two more dimes together. And now its WizardWorts turn. Do we get to
register with you too WizardWorts???? assholes!

Uncalled for. Ratbag are a small company who have released two high-quality
products. That they have had to put the demo back, or have had it taken from
their hands, should not be another excuse for yet another Mark Rael "speak
first, think later" rant.
