As an avid player of Superbike 2000, I had the chance to buy GP500 for just
10.00. Only played it for a few hours but I am surprised at how quick the
AI riders are at the beginning of a race. I tried setting the A1 strength to
5% and they still leave the starting line infinately quicker than I can.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help appreciated.

Gear it better! You have a bunch of options. I ended up gearing the bike a
lot shorter than what the default config was for most tracks. Then, I could
always pull the holeshot and be very competitive throughout the race.
Personally, I think GP500 is a better game the Superbike 2000. I ran a GP500
league for a while and had a great time.

The rules of GP racing allow the bikes to move before the green light. You
need to time your start so that your rear wheel is crossing your grid slot
when the green light comes on. This is what the AI riders do.

Also, select a V4 bike. They're harder to ride, but you'll do better at the
start line.
