Try checking with your wheel's manufacturer, some controllers have problems
with the SB Live gameport. I have a small handheld wheel and I needed a driver
update in order to use it with the SB Live gameport.
Today I upgraded my computer from a P2 350 with a Voodoo2 card to an Athlon
T Bird 800 with a Voodoo 5 card. The Asus MB I got has no ISA slots...This
made it a problem for me because my PDPI game card is an ISA card...So I
just didnt put it in and decided to use my SB Live hook up. Once I got
everything up and running, my wheel wasnt recognized. It is still trying to
look for my TSW 2 on the PDPI driver...I selected standard game port on the
advanced tab and it still didnt see it. I went to uninstall the PDPI
software and it said it couldnt find some file which seems to be the list of
everything to uninstall...so I went into regedit and manually deleted all
traces of PDPI...reboot, nothing. Tried deleting the game controller
drivers for my SB Live and let the computer reinstall them, nothing. Any
help? I would not like to reformat. Thanks for any help.

IMO, whenever you do something as big as a mobo swap, you need to
reformat and reinstall everything; Windows SHOULD be able to do it all
OK, and I ALMOST got it do to that once, but then when I went to use the
modem, there was a crapload of resource conflicts...
