Not a bad review, but there's at least one bonehead remark that makes
me think that maybe the site should be called "ArcadeRacer" or, better
yet, "RacingLamer" -- here's the excerpt from their DTRSC "review" that
really got me:
"As the cars skid all round the tracks, players will be able to view
the action from five different angles. Two of these will be not often
used in car views."
Yes, that's right, "RacingGamer" estimates that the 'in car' views will
be "not often used." Right.
Otherwise, an interesting first look. Makes me wonder, though, where
are the reviews from High Gear, Operation Sports, and Digital Sports?
Seems like someone at Ratbag/Wizard Works has dropped the marketing
ball on this one. Thankfully, they've got word-of-mouth working in
their favor, but talk about "resting on your laurels!"

I've been trying for the past two months, but Wizard Works acts as if
they've never heard of the game, and Ratbag doesn't show much interest
either.
Neither company is strong in marketing, that is for sure.
Word of mouth will only go so far. WW has a different battle this time.
With DTR, there was no competition at all. WIth Sprints, there is already
another game out, with packaging that looks like the original DTR. And
since it's a Head Games title, it sports a $9.95 price tag.
Now, we all know the Head Games release sucks. But, the casual buyer that
is looking for a cheap gift, will certainly pick up the $9.95 title over a
$20 game.
Wizard Works made a fortune employing this strategy with Deer Hunter. Now,
they are about to get beat at their own game.
But, as to why you've seen no review or preview of DTRSC at Operation Sports
is simple. I don't have the game.
You could always meet me at 71st and Georgetown in the morning, and slip it
in my hand...LOL
