Not sure about your specific problem, but on a general point - Win2000
is generally bad for gaming, as its DirectX is poor. Win ME seems to be
OK though.

I had a similar problem with some program which monitored a keypress.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
Hopefully someone might be able to help me.
Recently I reinstalled GPL on my PC after upgrading to Win2000 and a Geforce
card. It worked fine but I must admit I didn't play it that much due to the
death of my Nascar Pro wheel.
I just bought a Logitech FF wheel which installed without a problem.
I ran GPL, nothing!!! It comes up with the first splash screen and exits to
the desktop. I checked the D3D patch, core.ini and app.ini. They all looked
fine. Still nothing!!! I installed SCGT which came with the Logitech and it
worked fine, force feedback and all. GP3 ran fine. But no GPL.
So what did I do ? What any GPL fan would. I formatted my PC and reinstalled
Win2000. Installed the wheel then GPL. WooHoo!!! It worked!!! I played it
for a while and then I continued to install all the other software like
WinAmp, ICQ and Office.
I ran GPL again so I could do a few laps before bed and wham!!! same
problem. I reinstalled GPL, logitech drivers, video drivers and still no
luck!!!
Has anyone else come across this ?
Previous Config.
95/NT4 dual boot - Voodoo 1 - Thrustmaster Nascar Pro.
Current Config.
Win 2000 - Asus 6800 DDR (Det. 3 drivers) - Logitech FF (the new one) 3.62
drivers.
Thanks
ARES

Well, that tells you that something you installed *after* GPL scrambled your
setup. Try un-installing one at a time...
