There is probably no easy answer to this, but I am kind of lazy !!
I am currently qualifying around Monza. After trying many different setups
for the past week, I have found a very good one that suits my driving style.
In other words my car feels well balanced !!
I am having difficulty adapting this setup for the race, with the car loaded
with about 30 liter of fuel.
Does a Monza race setup differ significantly from a Monza qualifying setup?
Which parts of the setup is usually changed from a qualifying setup to
compensate for the extra fuel?
I know there is probably no answer to this, except trial and error, but any
clues to the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gostal
I generally take 1 out of the front wing (to compensate for the rear
sliding as the tires go off) , raise 1st gear 2 (again, to reduce wheelspin
out of slow corners when the tires go off), add 2 packers and raise the ride
height 1.0MM (to keep the car from bottoming due to the added weight of the
extra fuel)........
If I suspect the tires to go off badly I'll add 1 rear wing shorten top gear
a bit instead also
Hope that helps..
