Do these wheels affect the frame rates? Does the hi-res hit the fps more than the lo-res? Pedro wanted me to send this to the newsgroup. -- Roland ----- With the big help of the guru, Phil Flack, I am now proud to offer a new set of 3d-files, completely without clipping. They do not differ in looks from the previus version, only the existing problems have been dealt with. As before, they're completely free, and if you still have doubts, we are extending our 'try before you buy' offer. The new set of 3d-files are available at this moment at my site, http://home.swipnet.se/yoshua/eagle_site/eaglewheels/ and will be mirrored shortly at The Tyre Barn. Get'em while they last, and give youself and your Eagle a facelift that really makes a difference ! With very proud regards, Pedro 'Eagle' 'the author' Johansson

Good question. I suspect that I took a major framrate hit when I installed new wheels from the Tire Barn. I am getting around 15fps at the start with a P3-700@840 and a Geforce DDR running i D3D. This isn't very good is it.?! I guess I have delete all the wheels again and see what happens. They new wheels look good though. Anyone one else got this experience?
Yes, they are more detailed object, more polys, and therefore slower. Just anold GFX engine I guess. When will finally something approach GPL in quality :( Domi "Kotten" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8qeu9q$i88$[email hidden]... > Good question. > > I suspect that I took a major framrate hit when I installed newwheels from > the Tire Barn. > > I am getting around 15fps at the start with a P3-700@840 and aGeforce DDR > running i D3D. Wow, is that all tracks or certain ones? The reason I ask is because all the cars (Coventry, Murasama, Brabham, BRM, Lotus, Brabham, Ferrari) in my "configuration" are using 3d Tyre Barn wheels. I"m running P-3/550. "Kotten" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8qeu9q$i88$[email hidden]... > Good question. > > I suspect that I took a major framrate hit when I installed new wheelsfrom
