Could some kind soul tell me what version of the Sidewinder Software is
included in the UK MSFF pack?
I have a gameport version, and was given an USB version with no CD.
Microsoft UK Support said version 3.02 was used and theat Version 4 was
US only, true or false?
If Version 4 is required anyone seen it anywhere? apart from on your
desk, in the CD case etc., I mean to D/L.

V4.

False. I've had two UK wheels, and both had the software.

V4 comes with the USB wheel. It's actually rather easy to miss the CD in
all the packing.
Zipped up the driver is 16 MB (22 MB unzipped). Most of the CD is taken up
with Monster Truck Madness.
Ring Microsoft UK again. It can't hurt, and it should save you a lengthy
download.
Do be aware that the V4 software nixes TOCA2's networking with V3 users.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply,
I thought it was the case that V4 was included. Don't suppose if you know
wether it will work with V3.02?
I didn't get the box with it, and the previous owner can't find the CD.
I will give MS UK another try Monday, I'm not so sure I will get anywhere
though.
Hmmm 16MB, 32 mins if only it would turn up in alt.binaries.misc.
Actually had no luck searching with Copernic for it.

I tried and the FF support came and went.

Ah, second hand. Why not grovel to MS and suggest that you'll be willing to
pay a modest cost (5-10)?

I'll give it a whirl tomorrow
