Am I the only person looking forward to NFS:MC? I've been a classic
car enthusiast ever since I can remember. At any rate, it will be
amusing to drag race with a 59 Cadillac convertable.
Hopefully they'll include the 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt in the
NFS line-up for this game, but I haven't seen it listed anywhere in
the previews so far. I own a 64 Fairlane 500 sedan, so I definitely
have my bias'. :)
Some sort of Car Inclusion voting page would be nice, but I guess they
have to worry more about balancing play than pleasing individual car
enthusiasts with semi-obscure models.

I don't think you're the only person looking forward to it. The issue
is not the cars. I love the cars. I think lots of folks love the
cars. I think, for that matter, that lots of folks are pretty fond of
the physics model of Porsche Unleashed...allegedly the base for Motor
City.
The issue is that this is no longer Need for Speed. It's Motor City
Online and all play is supposed to occur online. Even individual
practice against AI opponents. This is dreary. My online connection
is barely good enough for email and usenet. I dread the thought of
trying to drive anything through the sludge of my miserable modem. :p

I agree. There will be a single player/offline mode, though. Hopefully
they won't screw up and neglect it. I've got a cable modem, but I like
the idea of offline play better as well.

There *will* be a single player/offline mode? Really? That's the
first I've heard of that. Oh, there were promises earlier, but all
the more recent news suggests nothing of the sort. If there is an
offline mode, I will be a very happy camper.

I saw it mentioned in at least one preview. It better be in there
somewhere or I'm not going to buy the game. Multiplayer gaming
can be fun, but I've always seen it as more of an amusing novelty
than a legit main feature.
It's AI-way or the highway! :)
